My name is Bethany Dobson, and I am an acrylic painter, and sometimes sculptor! I am a 90's baby, born in Massachusetts, but currently residing in Kentucky. I live with my two babies, a husky named Amethyst and my cat Puff, who is my unruly studio assistant. When I'm not painting, you can typically find me playing video games. I'm hoping eventually in life to be in a spot where I can travel and experience more of the world outside of my small bubble. Inspiration is everywhere, and I want to absorb all of it

Like a lot of other people, I had a very traumatic and challenging upbringing. Art helps me express the feelings inside of myself, and transform them into color and expression. I was that kid that had those cheap art kits, scribbling little pictures of my pets and things around me. When my pre-teen years came around, that is when I began to pull inspiration from myself, and give life to the things in my head.

In 2017, I became disabled from chronic illness, and in turn had to stop working 'normal' jobs. Becoming a full time artist is incredibly difficult, especially with the world in the state it is, but it is worth being able to show people my heart and soul, and brighten up lives with my work.

Every single sale, every single comment, like, and share directly helps me to be able to continue creating. It fills me with such positivity that there are people who are passionate about the things I paint. I cannot express how much it means to me, how it makes me feel like my vulnerability is worth exposing in order to reach hearts and souls. Thank you so much. Thank you for everything.
